Pearce E. Kennedy

PORTSMOUTH - Pearce E. Kennedy, 80, of 719 Greenland Road, died Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Born in Delta, Pa., March 9, 1919, he was the son of William and Nora (Hess) Kennedy. He was a graduate of Bethany High School and received an associate's degree in business from Portsmouth Community College.

A retired master sergeant with the Air Force, he served his country for 27 years, including duty in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. After his retirement from the Air Force, he continued to work full time as a security officer until his 80th birthday.

A resident of Portsmouth for the past 34 years, he was a member of the retired Air Force Sergeants Association, the American Association of Retired Persons, and an honorary member of the Boy Scouts of America.

He was the husband of Edeltraud (Stadler) Kennedy.

In addition to his wife, survivors include five children, Bill Kennedy of Portsmouth, Nora Cayer of Greenland, John F. Kennedy of Portsmouth, Barbara Neslusan of Dover, and Ivalee Leonard of Greenland; four stepchildren, Gudrun Nash of Indianapolis, Gabriele Good of Needham, Mass., Peter Stanzel of Norwich, Vt., and Helen Kormendy of Aachen, Germany; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Eileen Hendrickson of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, George Kennedy of Monterey, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

Thomas Sheehan

SHEEHAN - Thomas F. "Tiny" Sheehan Jr., of Hampton, formerly of Lowell, Mass., died July 1, 1999. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 81 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Hampton. Cremation to follow his Mass. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-9376. Arrangements by Dolan Funeral Home.
