Joseph J. Caradonna Sr.

STUART, Fla. — Joseph J. Caradonna Sr., 78, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, in Martin Memorial Hospital, Stuart.

He was born in Haverhill, Mass., and had resided in Salem before moving to Stuart 16 years ago.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving as a ship fitter first class.

Mr. Caradonna was a mason for Ross Concrete Flooring retiring after 12 years of service.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Salem and a former member of the Cement Finishers Union No. 534 in Boston.

He was a Catholic.

The widower of Amelia Caradonna, he is survived by two sons, Joseph Caradonna Jr. of Salem, and Timothy Caradonna of Haverhill; one daughter, Debra Laroche of Brentwood; four grandchildren; two brothers, Rocco Caradonna of Bristol and Paul Caradonna of Atkinson; and three sisters, Beatrice Caradonna of Haverhill, Margaret Grabiec of Hampton and Jean Miller of Kingston.

He was predeceased by one daughter, Carol Caradonna.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Salem at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart.

Rosamond L. Snyder

RYE BEACH — Rosamond Langmaid "Roddy" Snyder, 70, of 15 Fairway Drive, died Tuesday, July 28, 2000, in Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

She was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Salem, Mass., the daughter of the late Bradshaw and Dorothy (Gibbs) Langmaid. She was raised in Marblehead, Mass., and summered in Francestown for many years. She had resided in Brunswick, Maine, before coming to Rye Beach 6 years ago.

She attended schools in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Garland Junior College.

Mrs. Snyder was a homemaker and was active in several tennis clubs. She enjoyed skiing, decorative painting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Donald B. Snyder Jr.; two sons, David B. Snyder of Danbury, Conn., and Howard A. Snyder of Boston; two daughters, Hilary S. O'Connor of Boston and Julia Snyder of Rye Beach; one granddaughter; one brother, Bradshaw Langmaid Jr. of Falls Church, Va.; one sister, Caroline Kamarck of Peterborough; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hampton Veterinary Hospital, 871 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842.

Assistance with the arrangements was by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, Hampton.

Irwin H. Paris

EXETER — Irwin H. Paris, 57, of 2 Dow St., died Sunday, July 16, 2000.

He was born Oct. 28, 1942, in Bronx, N.Y., the son of the late Marty and Leah Paris.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Paris was formerly a police officer with the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department, and the Rye Police department. He was also a federal police officer at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

He enjoyed his family.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Joanne (DeFillipo) Paris of Exeter; five sons, Eric Paris, Lucas Cleary, Cory Dickens and Dan Ewing, all of Exeter, and John Murphy of Newmarket. two daughters, Dorienne Grasso of Exeter and Jennifer Murphy of Newmarket; and two grandchildren.

There are no calling hours.

A time of remembrance will be held Saturday, July 22, from noon-4 p.m. at his home at 2 Dow St., Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o Citizens Bank, The Paris Boys Fund, 154 Water St., Exeter, NH 03833.

Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter.

Ruby O. Coburn

EXETER — Ruby O. Coburn, 89, of Alumni Drive, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at her home after a period of failing health.

She was born July 25, 1910, in New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late John W. and Ruth (Trenholm) Allen. She had resided in Belmont, Mass., and in Seabrook from 1975 until 1995, when she moved to Exeter.

Mrs. Coburn was a nurses aide at McLain Hospital in Belmont for 25 years.

She was a member of the Senior Citizens Group in Seabrook and enjoyed gardening and doing ceramics.

The widow of George Coburn, who died in 1988, she is survived by two sons, Ronald Coburn of Nottingham and George A. Coburn of Whitefield; five grandchildren; one sister, Jean Brown of Nova Scotia, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one sister, Lola Fonos, who died in January.

Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
