Eleanor R. Senechal
STRATHAM — Eleanor R. Senechal, 80, of 52 High St., died Thursday, June 29, 2000 at her home.
She was born April 16, 1920 in Providence, R.I., the daughter of the late Albion P. and Mary F. (Savoy) Willey.
A homemaker, Mrs. Senechal was raised in Providence and attended schools there. She lived most of her life in Stratham and wintered for many years in Zephyrhill, Fla.
She was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Exeter.
Mrs. Senechal was predeceased by her husband, Leo H. Senechal and by three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by a son, Glenn R. Senechal and his wife, Seila of Stratham; one daughter, Carol Rohr and her husband, Gary of Stratham; one brother, Richard Willey of Exeter; two sisters, Helen B. Carlson of Virginia Beach and Roberta DeSchenes of Kingston; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter 03833.
Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter.
Thomas H. Boland Jr.
EXETER — Thomas H. Boland Jr., 77, of 277 Water St., died Friday, June 30, 2000 at the Exeter Hospital.
He was born July 1, 1922 in Haverhill, Mass., the son of the late Thomas H. and Mary (Cronin) Boland.
Mr. Boland grew up in Haverhill, graduating from high school in 1940. He moved to Exeter in 1977.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II.
He was the owner and operator of the former Essex Sign Company where he manufactured signs. He most recently worked for the Sign Center in Haverhill until his retirement in 1987. He was also a glass blower.
He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Eleanor (Bahan) Boland who died in 1993 and by a son, Michael J. Boland who died in 1968.
Mr. Boland is survived by two sons, Thomas H. Boland III of Londonderry and James P. Boland of Newmarket; three daughters, Mary V. Nadreau of Florida, Anne S. Boland of Exeter, and Faith Bell of Exeter; two brothers, James P. Boland of Bradford, Mass. and William Boland of Andover, Mass.; three sisters, Mary V. Boland and Katherine Flanagan, both of Haverhill, Mass., and Sheila Facella of Rye; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and by a special friend, Doris Browne of Exeter.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Church in Exeter. The family requests that there be no visiting hours and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter.
Eunice W. Moody
EXETER — Eunice W. Moody, 83, of 3 Brookside Drive, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at her home.
She was born May 10, 1917 in Stanford, Conn., the daughter of the late Burtis and Deborah (Merritt) Whitehead.
Mrs. Moody was a graduate of Gilbert High School in Winstead, Conn., and was a 1938 graduate of Children's Hospital School of Nursing in Boston. She was a registered nurse, working for 30 years at the McLane Hospital in Belmont, Mass. She was a member of several genealogical societies including the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames of the XVII Century, Magna Charta Dames, Daughters of Founders and Patriots, Daughters of Colonial Wars, New England Women, Piscataqua Pioneers, the Family of Bruce Society in America, and Clan Dunbar. She was also a member of the Exeter Chapter No. 2230 American Association of Retired Persons.
Mrs. Moody was predeceased by her son, Stephen R. Moody who died in 1997.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harold M. Moody of Exeter; one son, Richard H. Moody of Vacaville, Calif.; two daughters, Carolyn M. Surette of Carmel, Ind. and Cynthia J. Bourgeois of Nashua; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Norma L. Carline
HAMPTON — Norma L. Carline, 68, of 3 Reubens Driftway, died Friday, June 30, 2000 at Exeter Hospital.
She was born April 20, 1932 in Malden, Mass., the daughter of the late Heber and Edith (Burton) Warren.
Mrs. Carline was a graduate of the former Howe High School in Billerica, Mass., and attended Northern Essex Community Hospital. She moved from Tewksbury, Mass. to Hampton in 1976. She worked for the former Seabrook Bank & Trust Company as an assistant vice president in the commercial loan division for 14 years. More recently, she was the office manager for Priority Personnel Inc., in Newburyport, Mass.
Mrs. Carline served on the board of directors of My Greatest Dream and volunteered as coordinator and secretary.
She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Robinson.
Mrs. Carline is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles J. Carline Jr.; three sons, Charles J. Carline III of Raymond, Stephen J. Carline of Phoenix, Ariz., and Scott W. Carline of Newmarket; two daughters, Ellen E. Fowler of Hampton and Donna E. Donahue of Eliot, Maine; three sisters, Lois Schmelzer of Bow, Joyce McLaughlin of Hampton and Marjorie Johnston of Naples, Fla; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial is in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.

Warren C. Saltmarsh
HAMPTON — Warren C. Saltmarsh, 88, of 1072 Ocean Blvd., and Hartford, Conn., died Saturday, July 1, 2000 at the Exeter Hospital.
He was born Nov. 17, 1911 in Pembroke, the son of the late Fred W. and Birdie E. (Gage) Saltmarsh.
He was a graduate of Pembroke Academy and in 1933 graduated Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Mr. Saltmarsh worked as an insurance executive for Johnson & Higgins of Detroit, Mich., for 13 years and for Factory Insurance Association of Hartford, Conn., for 28 years, retiring in 1976. As a representative of these companies, his job entailed insuring large commercial industrial corporations.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Suncook and the Unitarian Universalist Church of West Hartford, Conn. He was a lifelong summer resident of Hampton and served as a director of Godfrey's Ledge Beach Association. He was also a member of the Old Timers Club of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Mr. Saltmarsh is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris L. (Shubert) Saltmarsh; one son, Robert W. Saltmarsh of San Francisco, Calif.; two daughters, Elizabeth G. Saltmarsh-Smith and her husband Samuel of Hebron, Conn., and Joanne D. Oliver of Houston; two grandchildren; and two nieces.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 5 at 11 a.m. at the Union Chapel, Little Boars Head, Willow Avenue, North Hampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 31160, Hartford, Conn. 06150-1160.

Everett C. Pillsbury
HAMPTON — Everett C. Pillsbury of LaBelle, Fla., and formerly of Hampton, died Dec. 31, 1999.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 8 at 1 p.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Rangely, Maine at a later date.
The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
