Cortnee Rae Adam
KENSINGTON — Cortnee Rae Adam, 31, of South Road, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, in Exeter Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born Feb. 9, 1970, in Kearney, Neb., the daughter of Connie (Hart) Adam and the late Herman Adam Jr., and moved to the New England area in her teens.
She attended Loomis, Neb., schools.
Ms. Adam was a Tupperware representative.
She enjoyed music and singing.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Trevor Joshua Adam of Kensington; one brother, Curtiss Adam of Kensington; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Nebraska.
Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, Amesbury, Mass.
Normand E. Boisvert
NEWMARKET — Normand E. Boisvert, 80, of Mount Pleasant Street, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, Mass., after a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Newmarket the son of the late Ernest and Obelina (Tourigny) Boisvert and was a life-long resident of Newmarket.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II serving as an airplane and engine mechanic staff sergeant with the 6th Air Service Squadron, 397th Bombardment Group, 9th Air Force. Stationed in England, he was among the first support crews ashore after D-Day and served the rest of his tour in France. He was the recipient of the Victory medal, Good Conduct medal and the European Theater of Operations medal.
Mr. Boisvert worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Shop 17 retiring in 1971. He then worked for the Newmarket School Department for 10 years, where he was known as "Mr. B."
He was known for his engineering skills in construction, carpentry and electronics and built and restored homes in Kennebunkport, Maine, Dover, Portsmouth and Newmarket.
He held an FCC general class amateur radio license for more than 30 years, operating under the call sign K1DKE. He was an avid naturalist and historian. He enjoyed hiking, canoeing, hunting and fishing.
He was a 50-year member of the Robert G. Durgin American Legion Post No. 67.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Theresa (McGrath) Boisvert; two sons and their wives, Normand "Chip" and Nancy Boisvert of Dover and John and Cristina Boisvert of Portsmouth; one daughter and her husband, Kathleen and John Walker of Concord; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Irene Wiggin of Warwick, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Leodore Boisvert, who died in 1993; and one grandson, Daniel J. Boisvert, who died in 1998.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket. American Legion Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Newmarket, with the Rev. John Finnigan as celebrant. Spring burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Newmarket.

Norine M. Emerson
FREMONT — Norine M. Emerson, 100, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at the Partridge House, Hampton.
She was born Dec. 8, 1900, in Fremont, the daughter of the late Fred and Sarah (Davis) Clement and was a lifelong resident of Fremont.
She attended Sanborn Seminary.
Mrs. Emerson owned and operated Emerson's Store in Fremont for 17 years. She was also a baker at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, for several years.
She was a member of Peoples United Methodist Church, Fremont; the Community Club; the United Methodist Church Women's Club; the World War I Ladies Auxiliary; and a 60-year member of the Grange.
Mrs. Emerson was the holder of the Boston Post Cane since 1991.
She served as treasurer of the Fremont Elementary School for 14 years.
The widow of Freeman B. Emerson Sr., who died in 1988, she is survived by one daughter, Mildred Frye of North Hampton and Riverview, Fla; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lela Smith of Augusta, Maine.
She was predeceased by one son, Freeman B. Emerson Jr., who died in 1952; one grandson, Dale Emerson; one daughter-in-law, Sylvia Page; and one sister, Avis Comei.
Funeral services were held Thursday in Peoples United Methodist Church, Fremont, with the Rev. John Barner officiating. Spring burial will be in Village Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorial donations may be made to the Peoples United Methodist Church, Main Street, Fremont, NH 03044 or to the Fremont Volunteer Fire Dept., Main Street, Fremont, NH 03044.

Enid I. Ford
HAMPTON — Enid I. Ford, 91, of 564 Exeter Road, formerly of 569 Exeter Road, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at her home.
She was born Oct. 2, 1909, in Manchester, the daughter of the late Herbert and Cora (Carr) Wyman and had been a lifelong resident of Hampton.
She was a graduate of Hampton Academy and received her post-secondary education in Middletown, Conn.
Mrs. Ford was a longtime member of the 7th Day Adventist Church, Amesbury, Mass., serving as treasurer for 28 years.
She enjoyed gardening, planting and her flower beds.
The widow of Robert M. Ford who died in 1996, she is survived by one son, Robert M. Ford Jr. of Riverside, Calif.; three daughters, Nyleen Rhodus of East Wenatchee, Wash., Lorraine Walton of Hot Springs, Ark., and Joyce Wever of Hampton; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one son, Kent Ford, who died in 2000; and one sister, Ruby McKee.
There are no calling hours.
Services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Burial will be in High Street Cemetery, Hampton.

Donald W. Strout
ROCHESTER — Donald W. Strout, 68, of 8 Jenness St., died Friday, March 9, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Groveland, Mass., the son of the late Fred and Gertrude (White) Strout. He was raised in Haverhill, Mass., and resided in Orlando, Fla., for 26 years, moving to Rochester in 1999.
He was a 1950 graduate of Haverhill High School.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Coast Guard Reserves.
Mr. Strout retired from Bell Telephone companies after more than 33 years as a technician, spending his early years with New England Telephone in the Haverhill and Newburyport, Mass., area, and later with Bell South and Bell Systems Communications in Florida.
He was an active member and officer of the IBEW Union and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce E. (Hilchey) Strout; one daughter, Lynda J. Strout of St. Cloud, Fla.; two sons, Michael D. Strout of Newbury, Mass., and Jeffrey D. Strout of Bethlehem, Pa.; several grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy C. Bullock of Farmington and Barbara M. Donovan of Plaistow; two brothers, William H. Strout of Siesta Key, Fla., and Richard L. Strout of Exeter; and several nieces and nephews.
Spring graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
