Local massage, skin care business offers true solace


The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce welcomes new member TruSolace, a Dover business that offers a variety of therapeutic massage and skin care services.

Owner Carrie Valpey-Hartranft asserts, "At TruSolace, I aim to provide my clients with a space and the therapies that will offer them true solace from their pain, stress, problem skin, or whatever the problem may be."

Valpey-Hartranft, a licensed massage therapist and esthetician, graduated from New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts in June 1994, completed the esthetics program at the Institute of Skin Science, in Rye, in August 2004, received her certification in skin-care therapy in September, and is enrolled currently in a doctorate program at Clayton College of Natural Health.

"My goal is to be able to provide educated natural health advice and counseling in order to help my clients achieve their optimal level of wellness," said Valpey-Hartranft.

In addition to the massage and skin cares services available, TruSolace offers customized facials, waxing, eyebrow and eyelash tinting, body contour wraps, and other treatments. Packages and special monthly deals also are featured. A full menu of services can be viewed at www.trusolace.com.

TruSolace is located at 86 Locust St.; free off-street parking is available. Hours of operation are Tuesdays through Saturdays by appointment only, with evening hours available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
