Chamber to hold volunteer reception

The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce will announce the Dover Citizen of the Year and Chamber Volunteer of the Year at the Chamber's Volunteer Reception on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newick's Seafood Restaurant in Dover. The Volunteer Reception is sponsored by Holy Rosary Credit Union.

Volunteers make a vital contribution to the success of the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce by contributing to the planning and presentation of annual events like the Cochecho Arts Festival, Apple Harvest Day, and the Holiday Parade. In addition to participating on event-related committees, volunteer efforts also drive the Chamber's standing committees - the Chamber Ambassador Committee, Board of Directors, Education Committee, and the Government Affairs Committee.

The Citizen of the Year award is sponsored by PSNH. This award is given to recognize an individual who has dedicated his or her time, talent, and energy to the community above and beyond the call of duty.

The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit association of businesses, professionals, individuals, and organizations working together to advance the economic well-being of its members and the community. For information, call 742-2218, e-mail info@dovernh.org, or visit www.dovernh.org.
