Legion raffle winner gets 42-inch plasma TV

HAMPTON - The American Legion’s Post 35 in Hampton held its Holiday Raffle drawing on Dec. 20.

The winning tickets were pulled by Post 35’s oldest and youngest veterans. With about 50 veterans present on a snowy and cold night, Commander Ralph Fatello thanked the members for coming out and helping with the raffle.

The winner of the 42-inch Sony plasma TV from State Street Discount in Portsmouth was North Hampton’s Bob Chaikin’s young granddaughter, Anna Skye.

The young winner along with her parents and grandfather picked up the TV on Christmas Eve at State Street Discount.

The freezer full of meat from Joe’s Meat Shoppe in North Hampton was won by Hampton’s Dave Lang.

This was the kick-off fund-raiser to restore the post’s old building. The post members hope to raise $75,000.
