Micheal Keating is responsible for a number of titles produced by Seacoast Newspapers, including the Portsmouth Herald’s daily arts/ lifestyles "iT" section. He oversees the Sunday Accent section which includes coverage of arts and entertainment, health, travel and community events.

A 1985 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, Keating joined Seacoast Newspapers as editor of The York Weekly in 2001. He was promoted to managing editor/ features for the newspaper group in 2002. He has the privilege of leading a team of dedicated journalists in producing a variety of titles including: Spotlight (J.L. Stevens); Home & Garden, Intuition (formerly Our Times), Wedding Guide, iT’s Portsmouth (Gina Carbone); and community pages (Emily Wiggin). Page designer Lisa Weddle makes it all look beautiful.

His interests and hobbies range from music, film and the arts to travel and hiking.
