Danile D. King is a Minnesota native and has 13 years of newspaper experience. Prior to arriving at the York County Coast Star in 1995, King worked at two daily newspapers in Illinois and did occasional free-lance work for the Chicago Tribune. King, married with two children, earned a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. He received a master's degree from Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss., where he was a baseball grad assistant under former Red Sox star Dave "Boo" Ferriss.
Along with putting out a community newspaper, King's passions include golf and America East basketball. Favorite course: Forest Akers West at Michigan State University; Favorite college basketball team: UMaine, for which he helps put out "Friends" newsletter.
