Robert F. Donovan
EXETER - Robert F. Donovan, 69, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in Exeter Hospital.
He was born in Amesbury, Mass., was a graduate of Amesbury High School and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Donovan was a tester for Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies retiring in 1990 after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish’s St. Joseph Church, Amesbury, and St. Michael Church, Exeter.
He was a sponsor for AA where he worked and helped many. He was an active member of the Democratic Party.
The widower of Marion (Levesque) Donovan, he is survived by three sons, John F. Donovan of East Kingston, Steven R. Donovan of Kittery, Maine, and Peter G. Donovan of Raymond; two daughters and their husbands, Cheryl A. Donovan and James Fisher of North Berwick, Maine, and Theresa L. Donovan and Adalberto Rodriguez of Texas; his mother, Evelyn Donovan of Amesbury; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Joseph Donovan of Florida, Richard Donovan of Athol, Mass, William Donovan of Amesbury, Thomas Donovan of Salisbury, Mass., and Paul Donovan of Seabrook; seven sisters, Patricia Bragg of California, Maureen Gauthier of Manchester, Barbara Walker of Merrimac, Mass., Margaret Berry of North Carolina, Evelyn Plourde of Rochester, Anna Horgan of Somersworth and Elizabeth Laliberte of Amesbury; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday in St. Joseph Church, Amesbury. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amesbury.

Elizabeth H. Greene
HAMPTON - Elizabeth H. Greene, 90, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Haven Health Center at Seacoast where she had resided since 2000.
She was born Dec. 28, 1913, in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of the late William E. and Elizabeth (Bruce) Harris. She was raised in Newton, Mass., and had resided in Hampton since 1945. She wintered in Vero Beach, Fla., for many years.
Mrs. Greene was a Realtor for the former Dunfey Realty in Hampton for 18 years, retiring in 1978. During the 1940s she and her husband also operated the Penguin Hill Ski Tow in Vermont.
She was an member of the First Congregational Church, where she was a greeter, a member of the Women’s Guild, and served as a Sunday school superintendent and teacher. She was an avid thespian, performing regularly with the Hampton Players Group and at the former Hampton Playhouse.
The widow of Foster L. Greene, she is survived by one daughter and her husband, Deborah G. and Gene Sullivan of Hampton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home–Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Private interment will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.

Wayne R. Herrick
TYNGSBORO, Mass. - Wayne R. Herrick, 65, of 76 Frost Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at his home after a sudden illness.
He was born Jan. 23, 1939, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of the late Melvin and Gertrude (Demaine) Herrick. He was raised in Danville and had resided there for many years and had lived in Tyngsboro for 17 years.
He was a 1957 graduate of Sanborn Seminary, Kingston.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving for three years as a single rotor helicopter mechanic in Germany.
Mr. Herrick was an inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration. He had previously built prototype and test piloted prototype aircraft for Helio Aircraft on Hanscom Field, Bedford, Mass., was an instructor at East Coast Aero Technical Institute, also at Hanscom Field, and worked there through its buyout by Wentworth Institute of Technology and until its closure in 1996. He also worked at International Fueling, Inc., Stead Aviation and Jet Aviation as a dispatcher.
He is survived by one daughter and her husband, Monika and San Ostroff of Exeter; two sisters, Margaret Wagner and Gloria Collins, both of Danville; his companion, Alice Gray of Lowell, Mass., and Auburndale, Fla.; his former wife, Christa van der Smissen of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter.

Robert T. Nolan
EAST HAMPSTEAD - Robert T. "Bob" Nolan, 55, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, in Parkland Medical Center, Derry, following an extended illness.
He was born in Boston, was raised in Arlington, Mass., and had resided in Hampstead for 17 years.
He was a 1967 graduate of Amesbury (Mass.) High School. He received his engineering degree from Merrimack College and his master’s degree in business administration from Western New England College.
He served with the National Guard from 1968 until 1975.
Mr. Nolan was a general manager for Lucent Technologies until illness forced his retirement in October after 24 years of service. He was previously employed by New England Power Exchange.
He was a member of St. Anne Parish of Hampstead and was a founder and member of the board of directors of the Hampstead Educational Foundation.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila (McIntosh) Nolan; two daughters, Michelle L. Nolan and Kerry B. Nolan, both of Hampstead; two brothers, Charles Nolan of Ipswich, Mass., and Thomas Nolan of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one uncle, John Nolan of Redbank, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday in St. Anne Church, Hampstead. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead.
Arrangements were by Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, Plaistow.
Lorraine K. Rauh
WEST NEWFIELDS, Maine - Lorraine K. Rauh, 75, of Morrison Lane, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in Southern Maine Medical Center, Biddeford, Maine, after a lengthy illness and a brave fight for life.
She was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Garner, Iowa, the daughter of the late Chester and Lela (James) Rice. She resided in northern Massachusetts for seven years before moving to Epping in 1964. She moved to Parsonfield, Maine, in 1994 and to West Newfields in 2001.
She received a bachelor of arts degree from Iowa State University and a teaching degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
Mrs. Rauh was a tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, Mass., for 17 years and later managed her husband’s freelance art business, Herb Rauh Water Colors.
She was a member of Epping Community Church where she led the Youth Fellowship and founded The Red Door, an in-church eating and gathering place for area youth. She was instrumental in bringing theater to Epping helping grow the Epping Community Church Theater and the Upstairs-Downstairs Players.
She served on the Epping Board of Selectmen, the Epping Conservation Commission and the Epping Planning Board.
She was a tireless advocate for preserving the environment.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Herb D. Rauh of West Newfields; two sons, George K, Rauh of Nashua and Dr. Nicholas Rauh and his wife, Anna Rauh, of West Lafayette, Ind.; two daughters, Tami D. Burns of Somersworth and Tracey D. Solomon and her husband, David Solomon, of Nashua; eight grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; one sister, Shirley Nixon of North Andover, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Wednesday in Epping Community Church with the Rev. Wayne VanGundy officiating.
