12/09/04 - OGUNQUIT - Selectmen voted on Tuesday to include in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) $75,000 for architectural and design for the town hall project.

12/09/04 - OGUNQUIT - Selectmen approved proposed changes to the town's parking ordinance and finalized the capital improvement plan on Tuesday, and also did a first review on proposed new personnel policies governing town employees.

12/09/04 - WELLS - In their second joint meeting, Counsilors of Sanford and Selectmen of Wells met with representatives from Maine's Department of Transportation to discuss the upcoming reconstruction on the Route 109 corridor that connects the two towns.

12/09/04 - WELLS - This year's federal appropriations for land and wildlife conservation in Maine has awarded the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge a half million dollars for land acquisition.

Littell recognized for MS efforts

12/09/04 - KENNEBUNKPORT - Pam Littell of the Kennebunkport achieved a rare distinction last spring. She raised more money -$14,000 - for the Multiple Sclerosis Walk than anyone else in Maine.

12/09/04 - The Western Maine Class B boys high school basketball season gets underway tomorrow night as Wells and York both play their first games. The Class A season gets rolling one week from tomorrow with Kennebunk, Biddeford and Thornton all playing their season openers on Friday, Dec. 17.
