Deb Cram describes her job as one of raising people's awareness. "That's my job as a photojournalist," she says. "I like to think my vision can help make a difference...for our readers and for my own continued growth. I feel privileged to enter people's lives and freeze a single untimate moment, a moment, that may cause relflection." Deb's awards include 1996 New England Press Association Photographer of the the Year, 1996, 1997 and 2001 New Hampshire Press Association Photographer of the Year, Spotlight Magazines 1997, 1998, and 2000 Photographer of the Year, and many other awards.
Rich Beauchesne is the Chief Photographer at Seacoast Newspapers and has been a staff member at the Portsmouth Herald for almost 7 years. Rich now enters his 15th year as a photojournalist in Seacoast New Hampshire and Southern Maine. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Photography in Providence, RI, and is a native of Newmarket, NH. "Pictures hold life's experiences. And I feel that with every experience you learn something. Therefore, you learn something with every picture you take." -Anonymous
Jackie Ricciardi’s love for New England kept her here after graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 1997. Originally from New Jersey, she began her photography career working freelance assignments at newspapers including Worrall News in Union, NJ and the Community Newspaper Company in Massachusetts. She enjoys eggplant and traveling to far and strange places.
Jamie Cohen graduated from Prescott College in 2000 with degrees in anthropology and photography. She began her photojournalism career in Massachusetts at The Berkshire Eagle. After several internships and a graduate degree from Syracuse University, she moved to the Seacoast area to join the staff of The Portsmouth Herald.
Andrew Moore, a New England native, started experimenting with photography in 1984 and began assignment work in 1998, transitioning from a career in computers and engineering to photojournalism. "There are great opportunities in even the most ordinary assignments. I enjoy the challenge of finding and exploiting these opportunities while maintaining respect for the subjects on the other side of the lens." He regards competition, innovation, and a sense of humor as important parts of any workflow.
